About My State, Rhode Island

Yellow River starstarstarstar

A new Chinese Restaurant in Exeter that has been getting rave reviews. My last visit while waiting for take out I over heard another customer saying how great the food was and how she had told all her friends who also love it.

I’ll probably come up with a more sophisticated review later, but for now my main reason for reviewing Yellow River’s Chinese Food in Exeter is so anyone searching for them can find their phone number. I wanted to order takeout, and to my surprise I couldn’t find it online. So I had to go there and order and wait. Now you won’t have to!

While I’m not an expert on Chinese Cuisine, I have noticed that there seems to be two styles of Chinese Food, and I’ve summed it up to the color of the duck sauce (you know that sauce you can dip just about anything in). There is the brown sauce, and the orange sauce. In the case of Yellow River they have the orange sauce.

So far I’ve only tried their General’s Chicken. It’s got good sized pieces, and it had a bit of a crunch to it underneith the gooey goodness. I tend to stick with what I like, but before the next review I’ll try a few different items!

Pagoda Inn

Pagoda Inn is a family favorite of mine. In fact, they are family. They just launched their website. Later Jon and I will get a full review up here.

A Little Cafe starstarstar

A Little Cafe is located right off the highway when going into Downtown Newport. Where you’d normally take a right off the exit, take a left and you’ll see the building.
